RED-EVF

The highest resolution viewfinder available on the market, the RED-EVF provides a 1280 x 720 pixel progressive scan version of the RAW sensor image complete with SurroundView™ look around plus frame guide overlays. Overall resolution is 1280 x 848 with the extra pixels, above and below the video image, used for camera status indication. These include focus assist, waveform, histogram, false color and zebra exposure, audio level, frame rate, battery status and media remaining. The RED-EVF also displays the camera menus when activated. A wide range diopter can be adjusted to accommodate variations in user's eyesight. The RED-EVF also provides three user programmable function keys and a rotary encoder for additional camera control options.

HD PREVIEW

The preview output provides a high definition "video tap" of the RAW sensor image complete with SurroundView™ look around plus frame guide and timecode overlays. The video format is REC 709 10 bit 4:2:2 progressive scan 1280 x 720 pixels at 50.00 or 59.94 Hz available on HD-SDI and HDMI connectors. Two additional HD-SDI outputs can duplicate this signal, or provide a 10 bit log proxy of the REDCODE™ recording format.

RED-ARM

The viewfinder and LCD can be mounted to the camera body or RED RAIL™ system using a RED-ARM. Since the RED-EVF and RED-LCD do not require an optical connection to the camera, they can be mounted anywhere that is convenient for your specific application, even hand held. Third party mounting accessories provide even greater monitoring flexibility.

RED-LCD

This display provides a 1024 x 600 pixel scaled version of the 1280 x 720 signal generated for the HD Preview output, or the 1280 x 848 signal generated for the RED-EVF, user selectable by a switch on top of the panel. In the either case, the display represents the captured RAW image complete with SurroundView™ look around and frame guide overlays. In the latter case, the display also includes camera status indication including focus assist, waveform monitor, histogram, false color and zebra exposure, audio level, frame rate, battery status and media remaining. The RED-LCD also displays the camera menus when activated. Panel intensity can adjusted to accommodate operation in high ambient light.
