Will the DSMC® Ti CANON MOUNT work with my EPIC?

Yes. All DSMC® mounts are interchangeable and work with both EPIC and SCARLET.

Can I use a RED BRICK with an EPIC?

Yes. Using a BACKPACK QUICKPLATE or BATTERY BELT CLIP (DSMC) will allow you to attach a RED BRICK directly to your DSMC camera. For RED ONE based power plates (i.e. RED QUICKPLATE, RED CRADLE, BATTERY BELT CLIP [RED ONE]), a 2B-TO-1B POWER ADAPTOR CABLE will be reqiured to power your EPIC or SCARLET brain with a RED BRICK.

Am I able to use IDX V-Mount batteries with my RED camera or accessories?

IDX V-Mount batteries have been approved for use with the MEIZLER MODULE only. The MEIZLER MODULE is equipped with a V-Lock IDX Battery plate which allows the use of either RED BRICK or IDX V-Mount batteries. For other third-party accessory conditions of use, see our terms and conditions of sale.

Times reflect approximate values for fully charged, new batteries shooting at 24fps at 4K. Approximate numbers are based on a standard configuration. Any attached modules or accessories that draw power from the camera's power source will affect these times.

What is the screw-in filter size for all RED Pro Prime Lenses?

The screw-in filter size for our Primes is said to be 105mm except for the 300mm lens, which takes a 43mm drop-in filter.

What are the GPI Trigger start/stop requirements?

Start Record: Ground - 3.3V Transition

What is the BOMB EVF (OLED) Upgrade Program?

RED is offering an upgrade program for existing BOMB EVF (LCOS) owners to BOMB EVF (OLED) that utilizes advanced OLED technology in the field to display true blacks and color accurate images. The cost of the BOMB EVF Upgrade Program is $1,200. If your BOMB EVF (LCOS) was purchased between March 14 and April 15, 2012, you may receive an OLED upgrade for the reduced price of $900. What happens after I contact upgrades@red.com?

You will receive an email from RED SUPPORT with the BOMB EVF Upgrade Program payment details, RMA instructions and shipping information. Before we issue the RMA number to send your BOMB EVF (LCOS) to RED, we will need to receive payment in advance for the upgrade. You will then have 30 days to deliver your BOMB EVF (LCOS) to RED.

Do I need to send in the RED Arm (5"), EVF Cable and BOMB EVF Box?

No. Send in your BOMB EVF (LCOS) unit and BOMB EVF Case only.

Will I be able to send my BOMB EVF (LCOS) to either RED HEADQUARTERS or RED EUROPE LTD for the BOMB EVF Upgrade Program?

Yes.

Can I drop off my BOMB EVF (LCOS) at the RED Store located at RED Studios Hollywood?

No. You can drop off at RED HEADQUARTERS or RED EUROPE LTD if scheduled in advance.

Will I be responsible for the inbound and outbound shipping of my BOMB EVF (LCOS) to RED?

Yes. You will be responsible for shipping costs to send your BOMB EVF (LCOS) to RED and RED will cover shipping back to you after the upgrade. We recommend you use a traceable and insurable carrier when shipping to RED.

Will I be contacted after RED receives my BOMB EVF (LCOS) for the upgrade?

Yes. When we receive your BOMB EVF (LCOS), we will do full factory evaluation. If we detect any issues with your BOMB EVF (LCOS) at that time, we will perform all in-warranty repairs on the spot. If any out-of-warranty repairs are needed, RED will provide you with a service quote for the costs associated with the repairs.

What turnaround time can I expect for the bomb EVF Upgrade Program?

We anticipate about a 5-7 business day turnaround from when we receive your BOMB EVF (LCOS) to when we ship it back out to you. If we get unexpectedly slammed, the turnaround times might be temporarily extended as we work through the spike in volume.

Is there a warranty associated with the bomb EVF Upgrade Program?

Yes. The upgraded BOMB EVF (OLED) and associated parts and labor is warranted for a period of ninety (90) days. All parts replaced by RED during the upgrade are the property of RED and will not be returned to you.

Can I send in my original RED EVF for the BOMB EVF Upgrade Program?

No. Only the BOMB EVF (LCOS) is eligible for the BOMB EVF Upgrade Program.

I already purchased the bomb evf (oled) from your store. can i still send in my bomb evf (lcos) for credit?

No. You can still send in your BOMB EVF (LCOS) for the OLED upgrade.
