This year marked the 22nd anniversary of the Austin-held conference and festival, South by Southwest (SXSW). It also featured the very first Live 4K Concert Event—streaming the ultra-high definition 4K experience to computers and mobile devices worldwide. The 4K live stream at SXSW was made possible by RED’s EPIC DRAGON and REDCAST™ Module, as well as technology from other partners including Dell, Intel, Sharp, and more.

SXSW is one of the most anticipated events of the year—in part—because it gives directors and cinematographers the opportunity to showcase their skills—and also because it offers film enthusiasts a first glimpse at some of the best new movies. The 2015 SXSW festival featured the largest film lineup to date, with over 145 feature films across 12 major categories. There were also seven additional categories for short films.

Throughout the week, attendees and panelists watched and critiqued pieces from each category. Here is a list of the featured films, documentaries, and shorts at SXSW 2015 that were shot on RED:
