The convergence of motion capture and stills photography has arrived. RED is breaking new ground in photography, with DRAGON receiving the highest DxO Mark sensor rating ever - raising the bar when it comes to color depth, dynamic range and low-light ISO. Top that off with 19MP resolution at high frame rates, and you have the best all-in-one image capture device available. Period.

RED cameras utilize the familiar and proven RAW workflow from stills photography. Use either third party software or our new and improved REDCINE-X PRO to non-destructively edit your camera’s R3D files using traditional tools including white balance, curves, and saturation. Image metadata can be easily adjusted, manipulated, and reset back to default settings – all while preserving maximum image quality.

You can now mark frames while shooting, and once you import your footage into REDCINE-X PRO, you will find each frame marker displayed on your timeline, making it easy to pinpoint the stills you want. Additionally, the latest version of REDCINE-X PRO includes A.D.D. (Advanced Dragon Debayer), a new algorithm for DRAGON that carefully analyzes every pixel to create the best frame possible.

RED cameras make it possible to leverage your existing stills photography lens collection, and support most modern 35 mm format DSLR lenses across a wide range of manufacturers. With the line between cinema and photography officially blurred, keeping your lens collection intact makes it even easier for you to dive into the world of Cinephotography. With RED, you can focus on building out, not starting over.

When you can capture 75+ frames per second at full resolution, timing the perfect shot is never an issue. With 18+ stops of dynamic range using on-the-fly HDRx exposures, RED not only surpasses high-end DSLR cameras, but also exceeds color film negatives. Whether you are shooting action sports, wildlife or runways, with RED you always have the tools to get the perfect shot.
