RED ALERT! V1.3.0 READ ME
Bug Fixes:
Fixes a bug where upon loading a 2k R3D file, a crash would occur.
New Features:
V1.3.0 trials some new gamma curves that have been designed for film output, via a print density (PD) log file. Please use these with caution.
All preferences, presets and saved data files have been updated to use an XML based format that is human readable. REDAlert! will still read in old preset files, but they are no longer supported.
When you open a R3D file, a small XML file (.RSX) will be saved alongside it, and this file stores your REDAlert! changes that you have made to the file. It will also store the past 10 historic changes made to that file. You can access the stored history from the “History” menu to navigate through those changes.
“Grade” button will take you back to your graded look after either pressing the “reset all to default” (R all) or “reset all to metadata” (M all) buttons.
Default for exposure is now -0.4 so that no highlight clipping is introduced and you can see the full recorded range.
There is a display at the top of the screen that shows the loaded R3D’s native pixel dimensions.
Known Bugs:
Quicktimes are not made correctly on FAT32 drives (RED Compact Flash cards, for instance).
