RED TRADE-IN PROMOTION TERMS & CONDITIONS

From time to time, RED may offer a promotion that allows you to trade in an eligible camera for credit toward the purchase of a new, eligible RED camera purchased directly from RED or a participating authorized RED dealer (the “Promotion”). By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Trade-InTerms”). Please read these Trade-In Terms carefully.
- Ownership and Authority.
You represent and warrant that you are the sole and lawful owner of the camera identified by the serial number and description under which you submitted for trade-in (“Trade-In Camera”) and that you have full authority to sell or otherwise transfer the Trade-In Camera. You further represent and warrant that:
you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and have the power and authority to enter into the Promotion;
you are not a reseller;
all information you provide about the Trade-In Camera and yourself is truthful, accurate, and complete;
the Trade-In Camera is neither counterfeit nor stolen; and
your participation in the Promotion complies with all applicable laws.
- Conditions for Acceptance.
To receive credit under the Promotion, all of the following conditions must be met:
The Trade-In Camera must be received by RED within 10 days of your eligible purchase. You agree to ship the Trade-In Camera to the address provided in the email confirmation, which includes instructions for proper packaging and shipment. You are solely responsible for all costs associated with the packaging and shipping the Trade-In Camera. RED reserves the right to revise or withdraw the estimated trade-in value if the Trade-In Camera is not received within the required timeframe.
The Trade-In Camera must be in good working order upon arrival at RED’s facility. Any damage incurred during transit is your responsibility, and neither RED nor its affiliates shall be liable under any circumstances for any loss of, or damage to, the Trade-In Camera.
All Data has been removed from the Trade-In Camera. You are solely responsible for permanently deleting all data stored on the Trade-In Camera prior to shipment, including any personal, confidential, or recorded content or footage. RED is not responsible for any data that remains on the Trade-In Camera, nor for any loss, destruction, recovery, or compromise of such data or its associated hardware, software, files, or media.
- Inspection and Credit.
RED will inspect the Trade-In Camera upon arrival and, if all trade-in conditions are met, will issue a credit for the full estimated trade-in value within 10 business days to your original method of payment. RED reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to adjust or deny the estimated trade-in value if the Trade-In Camera is not in the condition represented or otherwise fails to meet the trade-in conditions. If RED proposes an adjusted trade-in value or determines that no trade-in value applies, you must respond to RED’s email within 72 hours to elect one of the following options: (a) accept the adjusted trade-in value; (b) have the Trade-In Camera returned to you at your sole cost and expense; or (c) if no trade-in value applies, authorize RED to dispose of or recycle the Trade-In Camera without compensation. Failure to respond within the 72-hour period will constitute your acceptance of the adjusted trade-in value or, if no trade-in value applies, your authorization for RED to dispose of the Trade-In Camera. You agree that RED’s determinations regarding the Promotion, including any assigned trade-in value or resulting credit, made after inspection, are in RED’s sole discretion and are final, binding, and non-negotiable.
- Indirect Purchase.
If you complete your transaction in-store with a participating authorized RED dealer, Sections 2(b), 2(c), and 3 will not apply, and the trade-in value will be applied as a discount to the purchase price of a new, eligible RED camera immediately upon the dealer’s in-person inspection and verification of the Trade-In Camera.
- Forfeiture of Credit.
You agree not to sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the new RED camera received in connection with the Promotion for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. Any violation of this restriction may result in the reversal or forfeiture of credits, and RED may, in its sole discretion, charge the payment method used for your purchase the full retail price of the new RED camera minus one dollar ($1) or limit eligibility for future promotions.
- Transfer of Ownership.
Upon RED’s receipt and acceptance of the Trade-In Camera, you hereby transfer and convey to RED all right, title and interest in and to the Trade-In Camera in exchange for the trade-in value quoted to you.
- RELEASE OF LIABILITY.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU RELEASE RED, ITS PARENT COMPANY, SUBSIDIARIES, AND AFFILIATES, AS WELL AS ITS AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTORS AND DEALERS (COLLECTIVELY, “SPONSORS”), FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR LIABILITIES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PROMOTION, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY LIABILITY ASSOCIATED WITH THE SHIPMENT OF THE TRADE-IN CAMERA, THE DELETION OR NON‑DELETION OF DATA OR FILES, RED’S INSPECTION OR VALUATION OF THE TRADE-IN CAMERA, AND THE UNAVAILABILITY OF THE TRADE-IN CAMERA AFTER ITS ACCEPTANCE BY RED. YOU ALSO AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD SPONSORS HARMLESS FROM ANY THIRD‑PARTY CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR BREACH OF THESE TRADE-IN TERMS OR YOUR TRANSFER OF THE TRADE-IN CAMERA.
- General Terms.
The Promotion is valid only during the dates specified and for eligible cameras designated by RED. RED reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. The Promotion cannot be combined with other offers or discounts, applied to previous purchases, or be applied toward taxes or shipping. By placing an order, you additionally agree to be bound by the RED’s Terms and Conditions of Sale, Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy as found on www.red.com. In the event of conflict between these Trade-in Terms and other terms and conditions, these Trade-in Terms shall prevail to the extent the conflict concerns the Promotion.
