RED Product Warranty Policy
THIS IS A LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED BY RED DIGITAL CINEMA, INC. OR ITS SUBSIDIARIES (“RED”) FOR NEW RED CAMERAS, CAMERA ACCESSORIES, INCLUDING DIGITAL MEDIA AND BATTERIES, SENSOR UPGRADES, AND MOUNT CONVERSIONS (EACH, A “PRODUCT”).
IMPORTANT NOTE: AN IMPROPER REPAIR PERFORMED BY THE OWNER OR AN UNAUTHORIZED SERVICE PROVIDER, OR THE USE OF UNCERTIFIED THIRD-PARTY ACCESSORIES OR LOW-QUALITY CABLES, MAY AFFECT YOUR PRODUCT’S LIMITED WARRANTY. PLEASE REVIEW THIS POLICY CAREFULLY IN ITS ENTIRETY AND PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.
STANDARD WARRANTY
RED warrants that all Products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the applicable time periods as follows:

The applicable warranty period set forth above (the “Warranty Period”) will begin from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.
During the Warranty Period, if a Product is found to be defective in material or workmanship, RED will, at its option, either repair or replace the Product with a product of comparable specifications and value, each without charge, or refund the purchase price shown on your purchase receipt.
RED may use refurbished parts for repairs or replacements. Any parts replaced by RED during the repair are the property of RED and will not be returned.
Except to the extent restricted or prohibited by law, this warranty is subject to the following conditions, limitations and exclusions:

This warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is not assignable or transferable, unless otherwise required by law.
2.
This warranty shall not apply to any Product which has been subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, negligence, accident, power surge if the Product contains electronic components, or has had its serial number altered or removed.
3.
This warranty does not apply to any defects or damage directly or indirectly caused by or resulting from:
A.
the use of unauthorized replacement parts and/or service performed by unauthorized personnel;
B.
alterations or modifications, including, without limitation, removal or replacement of the camera lens mount or adjustable backfocus assembly, breaking the seal on the camera body, improper power or system grounding, modifications to the cooling system, or improper accessory attachment and/or detachment sequence; or
C.
the use of third party accessories or cables. A list of third party accessories that are RED APPROVED™ or compatible with the Products can be found at https://www.red.com/third-party-accessories. This list is subject to periodic updates at RED’s discretion. RED may periodically publish a list of third party accessories that are known to be incompatible with the Products on its website.

This warranty is valid only with authentic Products, sold new by RED and purchased from RED or its authorized dealers in the country of purchase. It does not apply to custom cameras.

This warranty does not apply to products that are either (a) manufactured by companies other than RED, or (b) co-branded products bearing both RED’s logo and the logo of a third party that may be sold by RED, but are produced in whole or in part by third-party manufacturers (each, a “Third Party Product”) , which are instead covered under the warranty, if any, issued by their respective manufacturers. RED specifically disclaims any warranty, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, infringement, use or ability to use any Third Party Product. Third Party Products include, without limitation, third party accessories, whether or not approved by RED, and products manufactured by Andscon Limited (d/b/a Bright Tangerines), Atech Flash Technology Inc., Canon Inc., Core SWX, LLC, Creative Solutions (a division of Videndum plc), or Präzisions-Entwicklung DENZ Fertigungs-GmbH. Extended warranties may also be available for such Third Party Products through their respective manufacturer.
SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW TO THE CONTRARY, THIS WARRANTY IS MADE EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR COLLATERAL, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NONINFRINGEMENT, QUALITY OR DURABILITY, AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS ON THE PART OF RED; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT IF THE DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS IS INEFFECTIVE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THE DURATION OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARISING BY OPERATION OF LAW SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY PERIOD OR SUCH LONGER PERIOD AS MAY BE REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE LAW TO THE CONTRARY, RED HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER CLAIM WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CLAIMS OF NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY IN TORT OR BREACH OF CONTRACT.
SOME STATES AND JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW (A) LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR (B) THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AND UNLESS RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY LAW. WHERE ANY TERM OF THIS WARRANTY IS RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SUCH TERM SHALL BE NULL AND VOID, BUT THE REMAINDER OF THIS WARRANTY SHALL REMAIN IN EFFECT. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY DEPENDING ON YOUR STATE OR JURISDICTION.
UNLESS RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS VALID ONLY IN THE COUNTRY WHERE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER PURCHASED THE PRODUCT FROM RED OR ITS AUTHORIZED DEALERS IN THAT COUNTRY.
OPTIONAL EXTENDED WARRANTY
An extended warranty is available for select Products at an additional cost for the applicable extended warranty period (the “Extended Warranty Period”). The Extended Warranty Period begins after the Warranty Period expires, and may only be purchased once during the Product’s lifetime. Except as otherwise provided herein, all other terms and conditions applicable to the standard warranty shall apply to the extended warranty.

If you are a consumer who purchased an extended warranty for use of a Product primarily for personal, family, or household purposes, you may cancel the extended warranty purchase within 30 days for a full refund, minus any claims that may have been paid. After 30 days of purchase, you may cancel the extended warranty and receive a pro-rated refund, less the value of any services provided under the extended warranty. Any cancellation notices must be in writing and sent to RED at support@red.com. Refunds will be processed in 30 days after RED’s receipt of the written notice of cancellation.
REPAIRED, REPLACED OR REFURBISHED PRODUCT WARRANTY
Any Product that has been repaired or replaced by a RED Certified Service Center or sold as refurbished by RED shall be warranted for a period of (i) the balance of the Warranty Period or Extended Warranty Period (as applicable) or (ii) ninety (90) days after the Product is received, whichever is greater. To the extent such 90-day period exceeds the balance of the Warranty Period (or Extended Warranty Period), only the repaired or replaced Product components will be warranted during this period. Except as otherwise provided herein, all other terms and conditions applicable to the standard warranty shall apply to the warranty for repaired, replaced, or refurbished Products or components.
SUBMITTING A WARRANTY CLAIM
To obtain performance of the warranty obligations in the country of purchase, the original purchaser must notify RED by submitting a request online via https://support.red.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=163057 to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (“RMA”) and return the Product to the appropriate RED Certified Service Center in accordance with the instructions specified in the RMA.

Unless restricted or prohibited by applicable law, in returning the Product under this warranty, the original purchaser must prepay all postage, shipping transportation, insurance and delivery costs, and the Product must be delivered in either its original carton or a similar package affording an equal degree of protection. RED will not be responsible for any loss or damage incurred in connection with the return of the Product.
If you are a consumer who purchased a Product primarily for personal, family, or household use, the applicable Warranty Period or Extended Warranty Period may be extended in accordance with, and subject to, applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

NON-WARRANTY REPAIRS
A Product that is not covered under warranty may be sent to a RED Certified Service Center for repairs and will incur an evaluation fee of $100 USD, which will be credited against the repair costs exceeding the evaluation fee (if any). All repair-related costs, such as troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, parts, test, calibration, storage, and shipping costs, shall be invoiced at the then-current rates and will be quoted prior to commencing any repairs.
STORAGE FEES ON UNCLAIMED PRODUCTS
Storage fees will be charged on products that are not claimed within thirty (30) days of repair or evaluation. Storage fees will be charged at RED's then-current storage fee rates. Products not claimed after three (3) months will be considered abandoned and will become the property of RED automatically, without notice, unless otherwise required by law.
