RED shines at The 2023 Cartagena Film Festival

The Cartagena Film Festival (FICCI), which is held every March in Cartagena, Colombia, is the oldest film festival in Latin America. This year, RED Digital Cinema, a leader in high-quality digital camera technology for the film and television industry, presented a workshop at featuring its latest V-RAPTOR S35 and V-RAPTOR XL VV cameras, using lenses from various manufacturers including Fujinon.

During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest technological advances from RED, with representatives from the company on-hand to share their experience and knowledge with the attendees.

Among the instructors were Andy Aragon, from RED headquarters, DP Lucas Cristo ADFC, representing the Colombian Society Of Cinematographers, and Nacho Mazzini, distributor of the RED brand via his company NachoMF.

The workshop consisted of a guerrilla filming experience through the historic streets of Cartagena, which took place on Thursday 24th March. It was directed by Cristo in collaboration with members of the Colombian association of cinematographic DPs, on-set workflow and data management company Filmflow, equipment rental house Loma Rental, and the assistance of filmmakers and professionals from the local film industry. The participants benefited from the experience and knowledge of the instructors and were able to see the recorded and edited material on Saturday March 26 in an official presentation under the framework of the FICCI 62 festival.
